“Hmm! Keep observing! The Chapter will certainly discover what is happening here. Once they do, they’ll send reinforcements.
“Just as we suspected, this gigantic monster may very well be the one to claim the final victory,” said the Polar Warrior company commander.
A colossal titan monster that could grow infinitely stronger through slaughter—unless they could kill it in a single strike, he did not dare imagine the consequences.
If this titan could fly, he could already conclude that the Tyranids would definitely lose.
It had already evolved five times. There was no reason it could not evolve a sixth time, or even a seventh. In any case, there were more than enough Tyranid corpses.
He only hoped that the Chapter Master would discover what was happening here and hurry over with reinforcements. The matter of this creature had to be reported to the upper echelons of the Imperium.
“Let all the soldiers get some proper rest and replenish their strength. Have them eat some military rations. The outcome of this battle is still impossible to predict,” the Polar Warrior captain said with a sigh.
The officers nodded and began relaying the captain’s orders down the chain of command.
All the ordinary soldiers were ordered to rest, while several senior officers gathered together to observe the titan monster from close range.
The most anxious person present was the Sister of the Scriptorium, Atolia. Judging from the current situation, she had no idea when she would be able to leave this exceedingly dangerous planet.
Had that little Hospitaller managed to deal with that man yet?
The battle between Red King and the Tyranids continued. In the blink of an eye, morning had become noon, and Rod, sitting inside the cave, let out a huge yawn.
An entire day and night had passed since he crossed into this world, and Rod was now unbearably sleepy.
His stomach was empty as well. He casually picked up a military ration beside him, opened it, poured the sticky, unidentified chunks of meat into his mouth, and swallowed them directly.
He had successfully survived for one whole day in the grim darkness of the Warhammer universe.
Without this invincible cheat, an ordinary human transported into the dark Warhammer cosmos might consider surviving even an hour a pipe dream.
Rod desperately wanted to sleep for an entire day and night, but under the current circumstances, he simply could not close his eyes.
If he fell asleep and forgot to strengthen Red King, allowing the Tyranids to kill it, he would be utterly devastated.
“If you’re sleepy, you can sleep for a while. I’ll stay here and keep watch over you. That big fellow has recovered again, and I think it may be fighting the swarm for a long time. If anything dangerous happens, I’ll wake you,” the young Hospitaller said as she looked at the exhausted Rod.
This time, she genuinely wanted him to get some rest rather than sending him off with a single injection. After all, she still had not obtained his gene-seed.

Hearing this, Rod rolled his eyes. It was precisely because she was here that he did not dare sleep. What if she took the opportunity to send him off?
It would be a terrible bargain to defeat the Tyranids only to perish inexplicably at her hands.
“No need! I can hold out,” Rod said, shaking his head.
Facing this sweet-voiced, beautiful woman with her pure appearance, Rod did not dare relax or become careless in the slightest.
Besides, given the situation before him, he might dare close his eyes and rest for a few minutes, but he absolutely would not be able to fall asleep.
On the battlefield, Red King slaughtered the Tyranids, and countless insects transformed into charge energy that flowed into Rod’s reserves.
Several hours passed, and Rod once again gained four thousand system coins, bringing his total to twelve thousand.
He could perform another two-thousand-coin height enhancement shortly. After that came the three-thousand-coin, four-thousand-coin, and five-thousand-coin enhancements. However, the five-thousand-coin enhancement could only be used on height; Red King’s bodily mass could only be enhanced four times.
Compared with height, increasing mass was far more effective.
Making Red King taller merely increased its size somewhat, whereas increasing its mass was an all-around improvement—especially the boost to its defensive power, which was absolutely critical.
Rod calculated that he needed one enhancement costing two thousand coins, two costing three thousand, two costing four thousand, and one costing five thousand.
He still needed twenty-one thousand system coins to strengthen Red King to its maximum state.
At Red King’s current rate of slaughter, the system coins it generated afterward would be more than enough to bring it to its peak.
If things went exceptionally well, Red King might even undergo another evolution and evolve directly into its EX form.
Being transported to a world invaded by the Tyranids was indeed extremely dangerous, but it was also, in another sense, an opportunity.
In any other place, Rod would never have been able to farm points at such a terrifying speed.
By afternoon, Red King, strengthened once more by Rod, had become even more formidable. It endured for roughly eight hours before its health bar was finally depleted.
Without the slightest hesitation, Rod chose the two-thousand-coin height enhancement.
Red King’s height reached forty-nine meters. Amid a burst of golden light, the giant once again revived at full strength on the spot.
This was already Red King’s fourth full revival, and its forty-nine-meter height made its form even more terrifying.

This evolution seemed to have confirmed something for the Tyranids as well.
Their ferocious assault stopped almost instantly, and their attacks were no longer as relentless as before.
Several heavy elite Tyranid Executioners, Tyranid Warriors, Hive Tyrants, Hive Lords, and Tyranid Primes actually withdrew from the battlefield.
Only the expendable hordes remained: Hormagaunts, Termagants, Raveners, and Gargoyles flying through the sky.
The Tyranids sent out vast numbers of expendable troops to surround Red King, completely encircling the area where it stood.
They prevented Red King from leaving a certain zone and even stopped sending expendable forces to launch direct attacks.
After witnessing this, Rod conducted several tests. Within a certain area, unless Red King took the initiative to leave, the Tyranids no longer attacked it at all.
They would even actively avoid Red King.
Rod’s expression brightened at the sight.
Damn, he had finally managed to intimidate the Tyranids!
Clearly, the Tyranids were searching for Red King’s weakness. Continuing the battle as before had become completely meaningless.
After all, they still knew nothing about their opponent. The Tyranids were savage, but they were not foolish.
They were searching for Red King’s weakness—or perhaps plotting something else.
Rod had a feeling that the next time the Tyranids launched an attack, it would be an attempt to kill Red King in a single stroke.
The Tyranids could not simply stop attacking. That would never do.
If they refused to fight, then he would force them to.
Rod knew perfectly well that he could not allow Red King to display the slightest sign of fatigue or weakness. It had to maintain an overwhelming desire to attack.
Only then would the Tyranids misjudge the situation, allowing him to create the illusion that Red King could evolve without limit.
“Red King, get up there! Launch an attack!”
