Bison stared at Jiang Li with wide eyes, unable to speak for a long moment. A battle involving over a hundred people on both sides, and you claim it can be solved with just three people? Are you sure you aren't joking?

Ma De hurriedly grabbed Jiang Li’s sleeve. "Brother Jiang, what are you doing? I let you brag yesterday, but not today!" He then squeezed out a smile toward Bison and said in the local dialect, "Chief, don't take it to heart; Brother Jiang is just joking. How could three people possibly defeat so many?"

Jiang Li, however, nodded with a completely serious expression. "Chief, I am serious. Three people are enough."

Bison's face darkened. Having lived on this island for over thirty years, he had never heard of three people overcoming dozens. Even as the tribe’s strongest chief, he wouldn't dare claim he could defeat ten warriors armed with wooden spears.

"Jiang Li, are you sure you know what you're saying?"
"Of course," Jiang Li replied without hesitation.

A grim smile appeared on Bison’s face. "Good, very good. I shall see for myself today. Go ahead and pick your three men. But if you fail, don't blame me for being ruthless."
"And if I succeed?" Jiang Li asked in return.

Bison paused. Succeed? Was that even possible? "If you succeed, you may do whatever you wish."

Jiang Li nodded lightly, then turned his gaze to Ma De. "Brother Ma, please come with me."
Ma De’s face turned deathly pale. "Brother Jiang, you’re actually going through with this? Three people against forty or fifty? Forget about us—even the most elite soldiers of the Great Qian Empire could never pull that off!"

Jiang Li yanked Ma De up from the ground. "Heh, Brother Ma, do not belittle yourself. When I say it can be done, it can be done. Just follow me."

In that instant, Ma De regretted everything. Why had he saved Jiang Li and his group the day before? Wouldn't it have been better if they had been speared to death by the natives? Now, the man was spouting nonsense about three against sixty—he was a lunatic! And what was worse, he was dragging him down into the grave as well!

Just then, Bison’s gaze shifted to Ma De. "Priest, cooperate with them."

Although Ma De was a priest, the knowledge he had been imparting to them had dwindled over time. Bison was no fool; he knew Ma De had little left to offer. Since the man didn't go out hunting, he had lost his value. What was the point of keeping him?

"Fine, I’ll go," Ma De gritted out. As for the third person, Jiang Li chose Chu Chunqiu without hesitation.

"Brother Jiang, you’ve truly ruined me this time," Ma De said, gnashing his teeth. Jiang Li patted his shoulder. "Relax, Brother Ma. I said it can be done, so it will be. Besides, the three of us are going together. Even if I wanted to harm you, would I harm myself?"

Hearing this, Ma De felt slightly relieved. That was true. Though he hadn't known Jiang Li long, the man didn't seem the type to commit suicide.

Once the three reached the vicinity of the stone huts, Jiang Li glanced at Chu Chunqiu. Without a word, Chu Chunqiu struck Ma De with a single palm, knocking him unconscious.

"Stick to the plan," Jiang Li said to Chu Chunqiu. He then stripped off his robe, leaving his upper body bare, wearing only a beast-hide skirt. Chu Chunqiu found a spot and crouched deep within the tall grass.

"Brother Ma, the dirty work is mine to handle. You just have to sleep; I’m quite envious," Jiang Li muttered. He grabbed Ma De’s upper body and began dragging him toward the stone huts.

Watching from behind, Bison was left stunned. Three people to fight sixty, and before the battle even began, they had already incapacitated Ma De. The other burly man, who looked quite capable, was hiding in the grass. Was Jiang Li planning to fight sixty people while dragging an unconscious man? This looked like a suicide mission.

Wait! He knocked Ma De out and was dragging him over—was he trying to use Ma De as a tribute to defect to the cannibal tribe? That was certainly possible! Bison’s heart tightened. He only had thirty men with him; if Jiang Li turned traitor, his group stood no chance.

Under the tense gaze of the onlookers, Jiang Li dragged Ma De out of the grass.
"Who goes there?" A native guarding the fire pit stood up immediately.
Jiang Li pressed a finger to his lips in a shushing motion. "Keep it down. I caught him outside just now. While no one is looking, how about we split him?"

"Oh? Where did you catch him?" The native’s eyes lit up as he approached.
Jiang Li gestured toward the distance. "You forgot? Many of these people came from that way. I caught him yesterday and have been dragging him ever since. I wanted to sneak him into my hut before the Chief noticed, but I ran into you."

"Heh, you trying to eat alone?" The native sneered and glanced around. "You must give me half, or I'll tell the Chief!"

Jiang Li put on a reluctant expression. "Fine. But let's not drag him to the stone huts; if others see, it’ll be trouble. Let’s drag him outside, eat, and then come back."

The native pondered for a moment, then nodded and grabbed Ma De’s legs to help. "By the way, whose household are you from? I don't recall seeing you." The native eyed Jiang Li with disdain. He was too pale; he looked like he had no combat strength.

"Cough, cough. Nobody pays much attention to me in the tribe, so it's normal you don't recognize me," Jiang Li replied softly.

A moment later, after they dragged Ma De deep into the tall grass, the native dropped his legs and hadn't even caught his breath when a pair of large hands clamped onto his throat from behind.
"Die!" Chu Chunqiu growled, putting all his strength into his hands and snapping the man’s neck.

"Good job!" Jiang Li left him with that and continued dragging Ma De toward the camp.

This time, as he passed a stone hut, Jiang Li kicked it hard and then feigned a terrified expression. Almost instantly, two natives rushed out, wooden spears in hand, staring at Jiang Li.

"Shh!" Jiang Li waved his hands and revealed Ma De behind him. "I caught him over there. I was trying to get him to my room and accidentally bumped into your hut."

The two natives exchanged a look, their faces filled with greed. "You caught prey and didn't report it to the Chief? Do you want to be punished?"

Jiang Li immediately put on a pleading face. "Brothers, I haven't had a bite in ages. If I turn him over to the Chief, I won't get much meat. And you two wouldn't get much either. How about this? The three of us drag him into the grass and split him right here?"

The two natives looked at each other, their expressions showing they thought they had outsmarted him. "Fine, let's do it!"

As they spoke, the three of them began dragging Ma De toward the grass. A moment later, looking at the two additional corpses in the grass, Jiang Li gave one a cold kick and sneered.

"You don't even have an anti-fraud app; what do you have to fight me with?"
