The three women pursued the fox demon relentlessly, their sword qi crisscrossing through the air and sealing off every avenue of escape.

“Fox demon, you have nowhere left to run. Submit to your fate!” Yuan Ya shouted.

“Wretched disciples of the Spirit Ruins! You actually joined forces to set me up. How shameless!” the fox demon roared angrily.

“Hmph. Against fiends like you, why should we bother observing any rules?” Wu Yue said disdainfully as she brought her sword down.

The fox demon cried out in pain. Its tail had been wounded, and it stumbled, losing its balance and crashing to the ground.

“Die!” Yuan Shan and Yuan Ya followed close behind, thrusting straight toward the demon’s eyes.

The fox demon snarled furiously. “You think killing me will be that easy? Bewitching Gaze!”

Its eyes churned with black mist, and in the unseen world, a pair of hands seemed to reach out and cover the women’s eyes.

“Careful! Don’t look into the fox demon’s eyes!” Wu Yue shouted at once.

Yuan Shan and Yuan Ya quickly closed their eyes, yet their sword momentum did not stop. Guided only by instinct, they thrust forward.

But how could such an attack possibly succeed?

The fox demon gave a mocking laugh, sprang past them, and extended its claws toward their throats. Fortunately, Wu Yue sensed the danger and immediately rushed forward, sweeping her sword across and thwarting the attack.

The fox demon snorted coldly and glared at Wu Yue with bared teeth. Then, unwilling to continue fighting, it turned and fled.

“After it!” Wu Yue shouted.

Though Yuan Shan and Yuan Ya had only just opened their eyes and were still shaken, their anger toward the fox demon burned even hotter.

“You filthy beast! Leave your life behind!” the three women shouted as they pursued it without relent.

Yet none of them realized that, step by step, they had already fallen into the trap the fox demon had prepared.

“Gahahaha...” Though the fox demon bore numerous sword wounds and appeared to have been driven into a dead end, it suddenly burst into uproarious laughter. “You really think I’m going to die? Hahaha... Don’t worry. The only ones who will die are you three sluts.”

Wu Yue and the other two women’s expressions darkened, their hearts tightening.

Could there be an ambush?

Yuan Shan cursed furiously, “Fox demon, don’t think you can bluff your way out of this. You will die by our swords today!”

“Is that so?” The fox demon replied with a sinister chuckle. “You three—what are you waiting for? Strike now!”

Hearing this, Wu Yue and the others immediately sensed that something was wrong. Whether the threat was real or not, they wanted to withdraw from the area as quickly as possible.

“Hahaha... Well done! It’s been a long time since I’ve tasted a woman. Tsk, tsk... The female disciples of the Spirit Ruins are so fresh and delicate. I imagine they must taste quite extraordinary.”

Three figures burst from beneath the yellow sand, unleashing a relentless assault.

“Look out!” The three women’s expressions changed drastically as they hurriedly raised their swords to defend themselves.

But Wu Yue and the others were still caught off guard and were sent flying backward.

“Gheh-heh-heh...” The three men leered at Wu Yue and the others with obscene, predatory eyes, as though they could hardly wait to tear the clothes from their bodies. “Not bad. They truly are three beauties overflowing with immortal grace. Hahaha... Our brotherhood is blessed indeed.”

Under those invasive gazes, Wu Yue and the others were overcome with shame and fury.

“You filthy dogs! Do you really think you can run wild in the Demon-Suppressing Hall of the Spirit Ruins?”

“Heh-heh... Then come and see for yourselves.” The three men grinned wickedly. “Attack!”

The three men and the fox demon pounced on Wu Yue and the others at the same time. Wu Yue cursed inwardly, but she knew that retreat was no longer an option. She immediately stepped forward to meet them.

The disparity in strength soon became apparent. In barely a dozen exchanges, the three women were wounded one after another, their blood staining their clothes.

For the three of them to have held out this long while only at the One Origin, Two Apertures realm was already no small achievement.

“Hahaha... Disciples of the Spirit Ruins? You’re nothing special after all.” The three men laughed thunderously, their voices filled with fury and brutality. “Kill them!”

Chen Yu, who had remained hidden in the shadows, witnessed everything. He quietly approached, and just as the three men were about to slaughter Wu Yue and the others, he finally made his move.

A streak of golden light shot forth. His sword cleaved toward the demon wielding fists.

Chen Yu’s movement technique and sword were simply too fast. In the blink of an eye, his blade had pierced through the demon’s chest.

“No...” The demon’s eyes widened. Terror, unwillingness, hatred, and even relief flooded his shattered heart.

“What...?”

“Second Brother...”

The sudden attack shocked not only Wu Yue and the others, but also the two remaining demons and the fox demon. They were horrified and cursed inwardly.

How could there be someone else here?

“It’s you...” The two demons soon recognized Chen Yu.

Naturally, the three women recognized him as well, crying out in delighted surprise, “Chen Yu...”

“Run!”

Though grief-stricken, the two demons knew how formidable Chen Yu was. They no longer dared to continue the battle and turned to flee.

“You deal with the fox demon. I’ll handle those two.”

“Chen...” Wu Yue and the others tried to offer a few words of warning, only to discover that Chen Yu had already given chase.

The three women fixed the fox demon with cold gazes.

“Fox demon, let’s see whether you still have the power to overturn the heavens now.”

The fox demon finally panicked. Its earlier smugness had vanished completely, leaving only fear and confusion.

After a dozen or so exchanges, the three women finally cut down the cornered fox demon.

“Come on. Let’s see how Chen Yu is doing.” Wu Yue stored away the fox demon’s corpse, then led Yuan Shan and Yuan Ya in pursuit of Chen Yu and the others.

From far away, the three women could already sense the fierce clash ahead. They hurried forward without delay. When they arrived, they saw Chen Yu fighting two opponents alone—and holding his ground with ease.

“Damn it! It’s only been a month. How has this boy’s strength improved so much?” cursed the man wielding the broken sword.

At that moment, they noticed the three women’s arrival and grew even more frantic.

“Third Brother, find a way to escape. This boy is too difficult to deal with!”

“Hmph... You think you’re still leaving this time?” Chen Yu said coldly. “The grudge between us should finally be settled.”

Chen Yu no longer held anything back. He attacked directly with the Supreme Simplicity Sword Art.

Using the Wind-and-Rain Summoning Technique to drive it, he created a sky filled with descending sword qi, completely sealing off the two demons’ escape routes.

“Damn you!” the two demons roared. “Do you really think we’re afraid of you?”

With nowhere left to flee, they charged Chen Yu like maddened beasts. Only by killing him could they hope to survive.

Chen Yu met them with icy calm, bringing his sword crashing down.

“Dragon Subduing, Tiger Crushing!”

The sword rang with the cries of dragons and tigers, its momentum immense and its force heavy. Although the two opponents possessed higher cultivation than Chen Yu, the clash sent them crashing to the ground.

“No... Impossible! How can your strength be so great?” the two demons cried out in terror.

Chen Yu’s answer was to transform into a streak of golden light and surge straight toward them.

“Mountains Shaken, Earth Trembling!”

After a single exchange, the two demons were defeated once more. The swords in their hands were blasted from their grasp. Before they could even cry out, Chen Yu spun and struck, severing both their heads.

Wu Yue, Yuan Shan, and Yuan Ya were left speechless with shock. They were certain that if they had been the ones facing Chen Yu, they would not have lasted more than a few moves.

He was terrifying.
